Pet behavior – Train him on leash

Dogs at a young age are easy to train, but you can train older dogs just as well. You just need to have patience; regular training will do the job.
Pack animal – Instincts to follow
You have to keep the basic dog psychology in mind, that is, they are natural follower if you are ready to lead them.
Lead him, while you are taking him for a walk, walk in front; show them who is the boss. Keep them close. Follow the steps.
1. Be the leader of the pack
Show them that you are the leader and they have to follow.
  • Long walk so they know that they are bound to obey even when the fun is tearing off. Morning walk are best.
  • Always walk in front having them by the leash.
  • Keep short distance, so they don’t distract and keep following you.
2. Discipline leads to obedience and training
  • Maintain a regular schedule.
  • Daily habit, long walk, maintain the minimum walk time. Good idea to increase time, after every couple of days.
  • Lead them to the end, even a few steps in the hallway.
  • Keep a short leash during the walk.
3. Reward – positive reinforcement.
  • Led them to follow the exact path you choose, motivate them with treat during the walk.
  • Always reward them after the walk so they can be motivated and know that they are doing what they are told.
4. Keep them comfortable – keep them focused.
Generic Behavior Training
Dog natural instinct is to follow. Do normal fun exercise with your dog during your fun hour with your pet. Train they to be obedient. “Heal and sit”, “come”, “away” are good keywords to use as they learn to follow the commands. Always use treat/reward him as positive reinforcement and come strong at unwanted behavior.
You don’t need to always do the exercise with them. Only walking them need to be regular. You can have your fun time with them with occasional behavior exercise.
